Cacao Oats Macarons

A nourishing twist on the classic macaron, this version uses Supertums Cacao Oats for a prebiotic boost and natural sweetness. Crispy outside, chewy inside—perfect for gut-conscious snacking!

🥣 Ingredients

  • 1 cup Supertums Cacao Oats – ground into fine flour
  • ¾ cup almond flour (blanched, fine)
  • ¾ cup maple sugar or coconut sugar
  • 2 mashed bananas
  • ½ tsp lemon juice or apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

👩🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 150°C (300°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Whip mashed banana with lemon juice until soft. Gradually add sugar while whisking until glossy.
  3. In a bowl, mix cacao oat flour, almond flour, and salt.
  4. Fold dry mixture gently into the meringue using a spatula until it flows like lava (about 40-50 folds).
  5. Pipe 1-inch rounds onto the tray and tap to release air bubbles. Let rest for 30-45 mins to form skin.
  6. Bake for 15-18 mins. Let cool fully before removing.
  7. Optional: Sandwich with a filling of nut butter or low-FODMAP fruit spread.
